Kate Spade Handbags
Kate Spade grew-up in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1986 after leaving
college, she went to work for Mademoiselle magazine. She stayed there
until 1991 and at the time of her departure she was the Senior Fashion
Editor-Head of Accessories.
She wanted to design a unique and practical but stylish bag. She felt
the handbag industry was lacking in this design, so she set out to design
such a bag. She started designing her own handbags with great success. She
went into business with her husband, Andy Spade. Her company is named
after herself and her husband. Using her first name and his last name.
So in 1993 Kate Spade Handbags were on their way. Her bags were so
successful that she has won may outstanding awards. The CFDA (Council of
Fashion Design) honored her wonderfully classic designs in 1996. She was
awarded America's New Fashion Talent in Accessories. In 1998 She once
again was honored with the Best Accessories Designer of the year.
Kate Spade handbags are stylish, classical designs that will be around
for many years to come. So if you are looking for a well designed, never
outdated handbag, you can't go wrong with Kate Spade.
